Bryson City – Swain’s Mikel Laws drove in six runs Thursday as the Devils downed Blue Ridge Early College 13-3 in five innings. Laws capped his evening with a walk off grand slam home run to give Swain the edge it needed to end the game in five innings.
Ian Brooks, Trae Bradley, and Jordan McGaha combined with Laws to account for all nine Maroon Devil hits on the day. Brooks finished 3-3 with a pair of rbi, while McGaha was 2-2 with an rbi. Trae Bradley went 2-3 with an rbi. Ian Brooks added three runs and a stolen base to his day.
On the mound Trae Bradley picked up the win. Bradley tossed three innings, giving up one run, two hits, while striking out three and walking only one.
